Rouget Targets A First Marcel Boussac

Toulifaut | Scoop Dyga

Perfect in three starts, Jean-Claude Rouget trainee Toulifaut (Ire) (Frankel {GB}), bids to provide her freshman sire with a first top-level triumph in Sunday's G1 Prix Marcel Boussac at Chantilly. Fresh from victory in last month's G3 Prix d'Aumale over the same one-mile strip, she is reopposed by Normandel (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}), who ran her to one length in that contest. Rouget, enjoying yet another banner season, has yet to taste success in this event and also saddles the Joseph Allen colourbearer First of Spring (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who remains unbeaten following a pair of six-furlong scores at Deauville in July and August. Pascal Bary seeks an outright record of six renewals and is represented by impressive Saint-Cloud winner Senga (Blame), whose granddam Denebola (Storm Cat) annexed this test for connections in 2003 while G3 Prix du Calvados heroine Cavale Doree (Fr) (Sunday Break {Jpn}) boosts a solid home defence. Britain's raiding party of two comprises Dabyah (Ire) (Sepoy {Aus}), who bagged a storied Newbury conditions heat by nine lengths last month, and Godolphin's similarly unbeaten Wuheida (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), who returns off a taking Newmarket maiden score in August. Aidan O'Brien, who won with Found in 2014 and Ballydoyle last year, sends forth G3 Silver Flash S. victress Promise To Be True (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who was a four-length fifth in The Curragh's G1 Moyglare Stud S. three weeks ago.
