Productive Weekend For Ivawood

Coolmore stallion Ivawood (Ire) (Zebedee {GB}–Keenes Royale {GB}, by Red Ransom), one of the top 2-year-old's in Europe in 2014, had three impressive foals born on Sunday. John Malone reported that Musical Peace (Ire) (Oratorio {Ire}) produced a “big, strong bay filly” at his Ladytown House Stud in Kildare. Musical Peace is a winning half-sister to stakes winners Pugin (Ire) (Darshaan) and Chartres (Ire) (Danehill) from the family of Group 2 winner Lilbourne Lad (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}).

Fiona McStay of Moygannon Stud reported that her mare Beauthea (Ire) (Barathea {Ire}) foaled “a lovely bay colt with plenty of size and bone.” Beauthea, a dual winner and fourth in the G2 Debutante S., is from the family of Group 1 winner Simple Verse (Ire) (Duke Of Marmalade {Ire}) and Group 2 winner Even Song (Ire) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}).

Rainbow Song (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}), owned by Massimo Marchetti of Allevamento Gialloblu, foaled a colt at Patrick Headon's Wraymount Stud. Headon said, “He's a very good foal with size and strength, a smashing first foal for the mare.” Rainbow Song is closely related to GI Del Mar Oaks winner Dublino (Lear Fan). Ivawood was a dual Group 2 winning juvenile when trained by Richard Hannon and he stands for €7,500 in 2017.
