Olympic Glory to Shuttle Down Under

Sheikh Joaan Al Thani's Olympic Glory (Ire) (Choisir {Aus}), who is currently covering his first book of mares at Haras de Bouquetot in France, will shuttle to Arrowfield Stud in Australia later this year for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season.

The decision to shuttle the four-time Group 1-winning sprinter/miler is the first move by Sheikh Joaan's Al Shaqab into Australian breeding.

“H.E. Sheikh Joaan is delighted that Olympic Glory will be standing at Arrowfield,” said John Warren, an advisor to Al Shaqab. “John Messara's team have a wealth of experience standing top class stallions and are committed to making Al Shaqab's first venture into the Australian Thoroughbred industry a success.”

Arrowfield Chairman John Messara added, “Olympic Glory is a first-class stallion prospect and as such is a major asset for Australian breeders and also a significant first step in Australia's relationship with H.E. Sheikh Joaan. We look forward to launching Olympic Glory's Southern Hemisphere career with a strong book of mares.”

Olympic Glory will stand for A$19,250 (US$14,700) and will be available for viewing at Arrowfield's Stallion Open House in August.
