G2 Coventry S. winner Rajasinghe (Ire) (Choisir {Aus}) will sit out Sunday's G1 Prix Morny after returning a dirty scope. Trainer Richard Spencer said the Rebel Racing colourbearer, who lost his unbeaten record when third under a penalty in the G2 Arqana July S. on July 13, could be rerouted to next week's G2 Gimcrack S.
“He's not going to run this weekend unfortunately,” Spencer said. “He scoped dirty this week so it's not worth the risk.
“He is in at York which wouldn't be out of the equation if he scopes clean next week. We've also put him in races like the [G2] Mill Reef [S. at Newbury on Sept. 23] and [G2] Champagne at Doncaster [on Sept. 16].”
