More Than Ready's stud fee will get a boost from $60,000 to $80,000 for the 2019 breeding season, according WinStar Farm, which released its 2019 stud fees Thursday. It's been a strong year for the versatile stallion thanks to the exploits of GI Traver S. and GI Belmont Derby hero Catholic Boy, GI Santa Anita Sprint Championship S. victor Roy H, GI United Nations S. winner Funtastic and MGSW Rushing Fall.
In addition to GI Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming (Bodemeister), whose retirement and $25,000 fee were previously announced, WinStar will have another new addition in 2019 in Good Samaritan (Harlan's Holiday–Pull Dancer, by Pulpit), who will stand for $12,500. The Bill Mott trainee's record stands at 15-4-3-2 with earnings of $1,309,450 for a career highlighted by wins in the 2016 GII Summer S., 2017 GII Jim Dandy S. and 2018 GII New Orleans H. and a third in the 2016 GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.
