The Maryland Jockey Club opened its eighth off-track betting facility Monday at Long Shot's sports bar in the Clarion Inn Frederick Event Center. The opening of Long Shot's comes 10 months after the MJC expanded its network of off-track betting sites to the MGM National Harbor, a luxury resort, retail, dining and entertainment venue in Oxon Hill and it joins facilities at Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore, Greenmount Station in Hampstead, Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, GBoone's Events Center in Boonsboro and Hollywood Casino in Perryville, as well as the Riverboat Restaurant in Colonial Beach, Va.
