MG1SW Sabiango (Ger) (Acatenango {Ger}–Spirit of Eagles, by Beau's Eagle), a Group 1 winner on both sides of the Atlantic, passed away, Galopponline.de reported. He was 21. Bred at Fahrhof, he raced in their colours for the early part of his career, including wins in the G1 Credit Suisse Private Banking Pokal and G2 166 Oppenheim-Union-Rennen at three and in the G1 Deutschland-Preis at five. Transferred Stateside to Bob Baffert, the chestnut scored a surprise win in the GI Charles Whittingham Memorial H. for Monty Roberts, who leased the horse from Fahrhof. Sabiango also captured the GIII Kentucky Cup Turf H. Retired with seven wins from 19 starts and $828,333 in earnings, he stood at Fahrhof where he sired five black-type placed runners from 149 foals on the Flat. A half-brother to German highweight,  MG1SW and Group 1 sire Silvano (Ger) (Lomitas {GB}), his final crop was born in 2014.
