Life in Motion Set For Reservoirs Test

Life In Motion | Scoop Dyga

It has been just 11 days since Godolphin's 2-year-old filly Life In Motion (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) announced her arrival in style, earning 'TDN Rising Star' status with a mightily impressive five-length debut triumph over seven furlongs at Saint-Cloud. She is set to encounter a half-dozen opponents in Tuesday's G3 Prix des Reservoirs at Deauville, a contest won last year by this month's G1 Prix de l'Opera heroine Rougir (Fr) (Territories {Ire})). Her trainer Andre Fabre, whose latest win was registered in 2014 with Godolphin's subsequent MG1SP G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches third Tasaday (Nayef), will attempt to match Francois Boutin's record haul of five in the one-mile juvenile fillies' test.

Jean-Claude Rouget has yet to feature on the honour roll and is represented by Shadwell's Ataared (Ire) (Muhaarar {GB}), who secured a stakes breakthrough with a narrow success over an extended mile in last month's Listed Criterium de l'Ouest at Craon. Woodpark Bloodstock's Fabrice Chappet trainee Roccia Nera (Fr) (Dream Ahead) is the only other contender with black-type experience and returns to action coming back off a third going one mile in last month's Listed Criterium de Lyon at Lyon-Parilly. Ecurie Didier Tabary and Meridian International's twice-raced Batz (GB) (Bated Breath {GB}) is one of just two unbeaten fillies in the line-up. The Christophe Ferland incumbent will head postward coming back off victories at Bordeaux's La Teste de Buch and Le Bouscat venues in August and September.

Team Valor International acquired a majority stake in Nadette (Fr) (Outstrip {GB}) after the Romain Le Dren Doleuze-trained filly ran second to subsequent G3 Preis der Winterkonigin fourth Lacuna (GB) (Shalaa {Ire}) in her debut over seven furlongs here in August. She yielded an immediate return on investment when breaking through upped to one mile at Fontainebleau at the end of last month. Carlos and Yann Lerner trainee Queen Trezy (Fr) (Almanzor {Fr}), a three-length maiden winner at Lyon-Parilly, and Haras de la Perelle's homebred dual scorer Rosacea (Ire) (Soldier Hollow {GB}), add weight to a competitive affair.

Deauville's undercard is headed by another juvenile black-type affair with the Listed Prix Zeddaan set to feature just one colt, the once-raced maiden winner Feel Your Power (Fr) (Captain Marvelous {Ire}), taking on eight fillies in the €60,000 six-furlong dash. Nick Bradley's syndicates have enjoyed a banner season and the operation's predominantly white silks will be on show aboard the Karl Burke-trained G3 Sirenia S. fourth Honey Sweet (Ire) (Adaay {Ire}) and George Boughey trainee Hellomydarlin (Ire) (Galileo Gold {GB}), who ran second to subsequent G1 Cheveley Park S. runner-up Flotus (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}) when contesting Ripon's Listed Champion Two-Years-Old Trophy in her penultimate outing. The home defence also includes the lightly raced duo Copie (GB) (Iffraaj {GB}) and Yellow Curry (Fr) (Al Wukair {Ire}). Both graduated in their second start with Copie accounting for subsequent Listed Prix Saraca runner-up Chili Flag (Fr) (Cityscape {GB}) at Toulouse last month and Yellow Curry coming back off a two-length score over six furlongs at Chantilly a fortnight ago.
