Edited Press Release

For the second straight year, Keeneland, Lane's End and Churchill Downs Racetrack will present the Bluegrass Breakfast in the Churchill Downs stable area during Kentucky Derby Week. The Bluegrass Breakfast will be open to credentialed horsemen from 6-10 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 27, through Thursday, May 2, in the Stable Suites located near the gap by the clockers' stand.

“We received a tremendous response from the first installment of the Bluegrass Breakfast, and we are delighted to once again partner with Keeneland and Churchill Downs on this elevated horsemen experience,” said Bill Farish of Lane's End Farm. “In addition to offering first class hospitality, the Bluegrass Breakfast also provides Lane's End with the perfect opportunity to cheer on our connections competing Derby Week.”

The Bluegrass Breakfast will offer credentialed horsemen Southern-style “grab and go” offerings while providing climate-controlled and rooftop views of morning works on the track.

“Keeneland is proud of the rich history we share with the Kentucky Derby,” Keeneland President and CEO Bill Thomason said. “Twenty-two graduates of Keeneland sales have won the Derby, including the last three winners–Justify, Always Dreaming and Nyquist. Given that connection, Keeneland is excited to be part of the Derby Week celebration and, together with partners Lane's End and Churchill Downs, further enhance the horseman's experience during this special time.”
