The Irish Thoroughbred Breeders' Association will host the International Thoroughbred Breeders' Federation Congress Sept. 10 and 11. The first-day session, which will take place at the K Club beginning at 2 p.m., will be an open veterinary forum, with discussions centering around veterinary issues at public auctions and genetics. The second day will be an international symposium, which will take place at Goffs at 7:30 p.m. The theme will be “internationalization and commercialization of racing,” and the panellists will include Sheikh Fahad Al Thani, The China Horse Club's Teo Ah Khing, trainer Dermot Weld and Horse Racing Ireland Chief Executive Officer Brian Kavanagh. The International Symposium is open to the public, and will be streamed live at www.itba.ie.
