International Targets For Librisa Breeze

Dean Ivory and Robert Winston with Librisa Breeze | Racing Post

Now that Dean Ivory has had a taste of Group 1 success, the trainer is keen to repeat the dose with his stable star Librisa Breeze (GB) (Mount Nelson {GB}), hero of Saturday's G1 QIPCO British Champions Sprint S. Not only was it a first top-level win for Ivory but also for the stallion Mount Nelson (GB) (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}), who completed his first season of covering duties at Boardsmill Stud in Ireland this year, having previously stood at Newsells Park Stud, who also bred Librisa Breeze. Ivory was pleased to give the Tony Bloom-owned 5-year-old a clean bill of health following his most prestigious win to date and is now looking further afield for the next challenge with the G1 Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin in December a possibility.

“We've got several options now, he seems very well this morning,” Ivory told Racing UK on Sunday. “Obviously it took a lot out of him yesterday, but not enough so that he'd need a break or a holiday. We'll sit tight, get together and decide. We've got Hong Kong and there's Australia. We got the entry for Hong Kong in yesterday.”

Librisa Breeze has now won three times at Ascot and was second in the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot in 2016, and no doubt connections will be keen to capitalize on the horse's affinity for the track at next year's Royal Meeting.
