Inglis staged a breeze up for 82 juveniles at Cranbourne Turf Club on Monday with each lot destined for the Inglis Ready2Race Sale at the Oaklands Melbourne complex on Wednesday Oct. 4. Weather conditions saw the ground ride quite testing for the 2-year-olds, something no doubt the crowd of potential buyers that assembled for the breeze will take into account when assessing times. Amongst the top 10 times recorded were sons of Kuroshio (Aus), Foxwedge (Aus), Epaulette (Aus), Zoustar (Aus), Artie Schiller and Bel Espirit (Aus). Inglis' Victorian Bloodstock Manager Simon Vivian was satisfied with proceedings and commented, “The day was professionally conducted and incident free. There were a few breaks for track maintenance to ensure a consistent surface, but it was all conducted efficiently. Cranbourne did a very good job with the track. Overall the horses were presented very well by our vendors and the riders that breezed the horses did a fabulous job given their workload and the weather conditions.”

One vendor who would also have been pleased with how the day went was Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm who had seven lots in the top ten times. “The times were very balanced, which is well done. Everybody was very happy with the way it went,” Vivian added. Another breeze up is scheduled either for this Friday Sept. 9 when 71 2-year-olds show themselves off at Canterbury or else back at Cranbourne for the alternative breeze up session on Monday Oct. 2.
