+QUEEN KINDLY (GB) (f, 2, Frankel (GB)">Frankel {GB}–Lady of the Desert {Hwt. 3-year-old Filly-Eng at 5-7f, MGSW & MG1SP-Eng, G1SP-Fr, $488,177}, by Rahy) was well away from the traps and found cover in third after the initial exchanges of this debut. Making continued headway once passing halfway, the 2-5 lock tackled Katebird (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) entering the final eighth and romped clear of that rival to score by an impressive five lengths. “We thought she'd win and I'd have been disappointed if she'd got beaten,” insisted trainer Richard Fahey. “She's not very big, but nor was her mother, and is just a professional little filly. She's been ready to run for three weeks and we did discuss [Royal] Ascot. She's got so much speed, but she can stay as well and we've got her in the [June 17 G3] Albany and [June 15 G2] Queen Mary.” Out of the MGSW G1 Haydock Sprint Cup and G1 Prix de l'Abbaye-placegetting highweight Lady of the Desert (Rahy), Queen Kindly is half to a yearling filly by Exceed and Excel (Aus) and becomes the second winner for her freshman sire (by Galileo {Ire}). The homebred chestnut's second dam is G1 Cheveley Park S. victress Queen's Logic (Ire) (Grand Lodge), herself a half to MG1SW European Horse of the Year Dylan Thomas (Ire) (Danehill), G1 1000 Guineas-winning highweight Homecoming Queen (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}) and G1 Epsom Oaks runner-up Remember When (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}). The latter being the dam of last year's G1 Nassau S. second Wedding Vow (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and this term's G3 Gallinule S. victor Beacon Rock (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).
