Lane's End Racing, Dell Ridge Farm LLC and Teresa Viola Racing's 'TDN Rising Star' and MGISW Honor Code (A.P. Indy–Serena's Cat, by Storm Cat) has been retired and will stand at Lane's End alongside his pensioned sire the farm announced Sunday. A winner of the GI Whitney S. and GI Metropolitan H. in 2015, the Shug McGaughey trainee ended his career with a solid third in the GI Breeders' Cup Classic behind Triple Crown hero American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile) at Keeneland Saturday evening. Also a winner of the GII Gulfstream Park H. and GII Remsen S., Honor Code retires with a record of 11-6-2-2 and $2,518,260 in earnings.

“When we first saw him, it was an amazing thing,” said Bill Farish at the Lane's End . “As a weanling and a yearling he was gorgeous. He reminded us so much of A.P. Indy, and of course being from A.P. Indy's last crop we were particularly taken with him and I don't think I've ever seen a yearling as made, in terms of conformation, as this guy; he was just terrific.”

Out of stakes winner Serena's Cat (Storm Cat), Honor Code is a half-brother to MGSW and GISP Noble Tune (Unbridled's Song). Second dam is MSW Serena's Tune (Mr. Prospector), herself a daughter of champion 3-year-old filly, MGISW and top producer Serena's Song (Rahy).

A fee will be announced later.
