The first and second finishers from the Jan. 4 Ginger Brew S. at Gulfstream will re-engage while meeting six other rivals in Saturday's one-mile GIII Sweetest Chant S. for sophomore turf fillies in Hallandale Beach.

Ghislaine Head's She's My Type (Fr) (Dunkerque {Fr}), bought for just $27,000 as a Keeneland September yearling, debuted with a rallying success over course and distance Dec. 7 for Christophe Clement. Marooned in the widest-out 11 post for the Ginger Brew, the dark bay overcame her draw and a speed-biased turf course to prevail by a neck.

She covered more ground than all but one rival in that race, and 28 more feet than runner-up Moral Reasoning (More Than Ready). The Klaravich Stables colorbearer, second on debut behind the promising and undefeated GSW Alms (City Zip) Sept. 19 at Belmont, graduated as the favorite Nov. 8 at Aqueduct before falling just short trying two turns for the first time in the Ginger Brew.

Two potential longshots to keep an eye on are D P Racing and Patrick Biancone's Reluctant Bride (Speightstown) and Michael and Reiko Baum's Ivyetsu (Tapit). The former returns on short rest after closing from well back to just get up for a 13-1 upset debuting at five furlongs here Jan. 19, an effort in which the $160,000 KEESEP buy clocked her final furlong in a sizzling :10.77.

The latter intrigues as a pedigree play in her initial lawn try. An easy graduate in a Churchill off-the-turfer Nov. 9 before finishing last in the GII Golden Rod S. three weeks later, the homebred is a half-sister to French GSW Last Kingdom (Frankel {GB}), while her second dam Damson (Ire) (Entrepreneur {GB}) was a G1SW and dual-highweight juvenile in Europe before producing MGSW turfer Requinto (Ire) (Dansili {GB}). Ivyetsu herself hinted that she might like grass when drilling a best-of-45 bullet over the Palm Meadows turf in :48 1/5 Jan. 25.
