GI Los Alamitos Futurity winner Mor Spirit (Eskendereya) and stablemate and runner-up Toews On Ice (Archarcharch) have both exited Saturday's affair in good order, according to conditioner Bob Baffert.
“They both came out of it really well,” Baffert explained Sunday. “We have no immediate plans yet, but I will keep them separated from here on.”
The Pennsylvanita-bred Michael Lund Peterson colorbearer Mor Spirit, who was previously second in the GII Kentucky Jockey Club S., scored his first stakes success in the Grade I event, while Toews On Ice, the last out winner of the GII Bob Hope S., earned his first Grade I placing.
