First Stakes Winner For Sepoy at Chantilly

Baileys Showgirl, the first stakes winner for Sepoy | Scoop Dyga

Baileys Showgirl was unable to land a blow when seventh after fluffing the start at Chelmsford first time June 16, and rectified matters with an impressive three-length conditions score going six furlongs at Hamilton in her only other start last time June 28. Settled fifth in the main bunch after a competent break upped in trip for this black-type bow, she made relentless headway under urging in the straight to lead approaching the eighth pole and kept on well for continued rousting in the closing stages to comfortably register a career high, becoming the first stakes winner for her freshman sire (by Elusive Quality). The winner, a daughter of Listed Prix La Sorellina third Tanguista (Fr) (War Chant), is a half-sister to a yearling filly by Invincible Spirit (Ire) and to Listed Prix Ronde de Nuit victress Tribune (Fr) (Grand Slam). Her third dam Domludge (Lyphard), who produced three black-type performers including MG1SP Shrewd Idea (GB) (Alleged), is a full-sister to MGSP Cadeaux d'Amie, herself the dam of GI Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile winner Irish Prize (Irish River {Fr}) and MG1SW champion Hatoof (Irish River {Fr}). Domludge is also kin to MG1SW champion and stakes producer Mrs. Penny (Great Nephew {GB}).
