Early nominations for the 2021 Triple Crown are due Saturday, Jan. 23. The Triple Crown begins with the GI Kentucky Derby May 1, then continues with the GI Preakness S. May 15, and concludes with the GI Belmont S. June 5. Nominations for eligible 3-year-olds can be secured with a $600 payment.

Horses not nominated by Jan. 23 can still be made eligible with a $6,000 payment through Mar. 29. A horse can also be supplemented to any of the Triple Crown races for individual payments of $200,000 (Derby), $100,000 (Preakness), or $50,000 (Belmont).

The 2020 Triple Crown nominations numbered 347 horses during the early phase and an additional 22 horses during the late nomination phase.
