Bloodstock South Africa is set to host a dispersal sale at Backworth Stud of all the farm's bloodstock on April 10.
Set in South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal Midlands region, Backworth Stud, which is owned by Keith Russon and Ian Todd, has seen a number of its graduates rise to prominence, including the 2010 GI Allan Robertson Fillies Championship winner Chocolicious (SAf) (Kahal {GB}), whose Frankel (GB) filly sold for A$610,000 at last year's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
The sale, which will get underway at 1pm, features 96 lots and includes mares, 2-year-olds, yearlings, weanlings, and fillies out of training. The catalogue, which can be viewed online at www.tba.co.za, also contains offerings from Janet Baker Properties, Spring Valley Stud and Summerhill Stud.
