The Dubai Racing Club has revealed the list of accepted horses for the 10-meeting 2020 Dubai World Cup Carnival, culminating in the $35-million Dubai World Cup card on Mar. 28. A total of 237 horses have been accepted for 76 trainers from 16 countries. Click here for the complete list.
The Dubai Racing Club also revealed some changes to its programme. The G2 Dubai City of Gold S. and the Listed Curlin S. will receive purse boosts to $350,000 and $175,000, respectively, while the Singspiel S. is upgraded to a Group 2. Six $175,000 turf handicaps have been upgraded to listed status: the Dubai Racing Club Classic over 2410 on Jan. 2; the 1400 metre Meydan Challenge also on Jan. 2; the 2000 metre Zabeel Turf on Jan. 16 and the 1000 metre Dubai Dash on the same day; the Dubai Sprint S. over 1200 metres on Feb. 6 and the Meydan Cup over 2810 metres on Jan. 30.
