GI Pegasus World Cup Invitational hopeful Breaking Lucky (Lookin At Lucky) covered five furlongs in 1:00 2/5 Wednesday morning at Palm Beach Downs as he prepares to contest next Saturday's inaugural $12-million event at Gulfstream Park. “It was perfect,” offered trainer Reade Baker. “Everything has gone on schedule. The last work (5f in 1:00 Jan. 11) and this work, he never drank a drop of water. This morning, I got his last quarter in :23 3/5. We're sitting where we want to be.” Wednesday's drill was expected to be the final published move for Breaking Lucky, who will represent Gunpowder Farms, Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, R.A. Hill Stable and West Point Thoroughbreds in the Pegasus. The 5-year-old Canadian Classic winner and GSW was most recently second in Churchill's GI Clark H. Nov. 25.
