The long-awaited comeback of GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Hit It A Bomb (War Front) will come a few days earlier than expected when the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt lines up in tomorrow's G3 Pension Consultants Desmond S. at Leopardstown.

Evie Stockwell's homebred was also entered for Saturday's G2 Hungerford S. at Newbury but will remain on home turf in Ireland for the short term.

“He goes for the Desmond,” said O'Brien. “Cougar Mountain (Ire) is a possible [for the Hungerford Stakes] but I'm not sure if we'll go with anything. It's more unlikely than likely.”

Unbeaten in three starts at two, Hit It A Bomb first struck in a Curragh maiden on Sept. 17 before stepping up to take the listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal S. on Dundalk's all-weather track just three weeks before his successful foray to Keeneland for the Breeders' Cup.

His 2-year-old full-sister Brave Anna has proved to be an even more precocious sort, winning a six-furlong maiden at the Curragh on May 21 followed by her hard-fought win in the G3 Albany S. at Royal Ascot. She holds an entry for next week's G2 Sky Bet Lowther S. at York's Ebor meeting.
