HOLD HARMLESS (f, 3, Blame">Blame–Silviculture, by Forestry), third on debut in a sloppy off-the-turfer going Aqueduct's one-turn mile Nov. 11, was given a 9-1 chance while adding Lasix for this second attempt and first over turf. Away well from the 13-hole, the gray tracked from fifth in the two path off early splits of :23.81 and :48.95. Slipping onto the rail on the backstretch, she was full of run turning for home and blasted through an opening on the fence in mid-stretch to deny $1.5 million KEESEP purchase Gioia Stella (Medaglia d'Oro) by a half-length. The hard-knocking J La Tache (Harlan's Holiday) was a close third and heavily favored Tapit Together (Tapit), a daughter of champion Forever Together (Belong to Me) checked in third. The winner is a full-sister to Onus (GSW, $141,406), who set a new course record when winning Laurel's GIII Commonwealth Oaks. Her unraced dam Silviculture is a half to MGSW Ironicus (Distorted Humor); and GSWs Norumbega (Tiznow), Hunting (Coronado's Quest) and Quiet Harbor (Silver Deputy). Silviculture also produced an unraced 2-year-old filly named Long Leaf (Proud Citizen) and a yearling colt by Arch. She was bred back to Data Link. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-1, $31,200.
