Sunday's Observations features a Frankel son of Bateel.

THE ODYSSEY (FR) (Frankel {GB}) is a son of Al Asayl Bloodstock's Prix Vermeille heroine Bateel (Dubawi), who is already responsible for the G2 Prix d'Harcourt winner and Prix Ganay and Grosser Dallmayr-Preis runner-up Map Of Stars (Sea The Stars) and the G3 Prix Penelope winner Tajlina (Kingman). Like all of the above, Francis Graffard is in charge of the homebred, whose rivals include Philippe Decouz and Olivier De Seyssel's Masaro (Fr) (Masar {Ire}), a half-brother to the multiple Group winner, Irish St Leger runner-up and top-class hurdler Vauban (Fr) (Galiway {GB}).

PLACE DE L'OPERA (IRE) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) is a full-sister to the Prix de l'Opera heroine and Ranvet Stakes runner-up Place Du Carrousel, the €4.025million record-breaker at Arqana December 2023. Andre Fabre sends out Ballylinch Stud and Alexis Adamian's homebred and also the Wertheimers' newcomer Seaya (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), a daughter of the dual Listed scorer and multiple Group-placed Anasia (Intello) who is in turn a half to Sea The Stars' top-class Sosie.
