Online auction house Auctav and French auction house Osarus are set to merge, Jour de Galop reported on Thursday. The merger is set for next February, with the two companies working together in a series of joint sales beginning in March.
The aim is to strengthen their market position and offer their expertise, innovation and accessibility to more customers. Auctav will specialise in sales of trotters and art, while Osarus will be devoted to Flat and jumps racing, as well as Arabian sales.
Said Auctav president Louis Baudron, “This merger marks a major step for our sector. Together, we will be able to offer a richer and more accessible range of services, while preserving the excellence and trust that have built the reputation of both companies.”
Added Osarus manager Emmanuel Viaud, “We share with Auctav a common vision of auctions, combining tradition and modernity. This partnership is a unique opportunity to better serve our clients and boost the market.”
