Ami's Flatter Leads Marine Forecast

With his fellow Ontario-bred Danzig Moon (Malibu Moon) fighting out Saturday's GI Preakness S. south of the border, Ami's Flatter (Flatter) looks to enhance his credentials as one of the favorites for the Queen's Plate in the GIII Marine S. over the Woodbine Polytrack.

A debut winner going seven panels over the synthetic track last November, Ami's Flatter gave a good account of himself over the winter in Florida, with a runner-up effort behind 'TDN Rising Star' Carpe Diem (Giant's Causeway) in the GII Tampa Bay Derby with blinkers added for the first time Mar. 7 and a third-place effort to Rising Star Materiality (Afleet Alex) and Upstart (Flatter) in the GI Florida Derby when last seen Mar. 28.

Danish Dynaformer (Dynaformer) looks to have found his best stride of late and can spoil the party here. Also bred in Ontario, Charles Fipke's homebred was a a running-on fifth behind U S Marshal (Badge of Silver) two-turning on debut over the Polytrack Nov. 23, but has been a different animal since the addition of blinkers and Lasix. The bay enters this first stakes voyage off back-to-back wins over the Gulfstream turf course Feb. 21 and Apr. 11.

U S Marshal couldn't quite break through his first allowance condition over the Gulfstream turf course over the winter, but made a favorable impression in his local return Apr. 19, sitting just off a slow pace before outfinishing Seventhfleethumor (Sharp Humor) by a length in the Wando S. over this course and distance.
