The bay, a $675K KEESEP yearling acquisition by Woodford Racing, is possessed of an each-way pedigree, as he is out of Arania (Dynaformer), an unraced daughter of SW & GSP Aurora (Danzig), the dam of GISWs Arch (Kris S.) and Acoma (Empire Maker) and Festival of Light (A.P. After selling for $1.075 million in foal to Ghostzapper at the 2013 FTKNOV sale, 2011 GI Prioress S. winner Her Smile (Include) was offered pregnant to Tapit&log=">Tapit at KEENOV in 2014 and was purchased by Larry Doyle's KatieRich Farms for $1.5 million. Subsequently consigned to the 2016 FTSAUG sale, PINK SANDS fetched $675K from the partnership of Gainesway and Andrew Rosen and debuts for trainer Shug McGaughey off a big half-mile work from the gate in :48 flat (2/83) Aug. 14. ALLURING STAR (Exchange Rate) attracted a final bid of $125K at the 2016 KEESEP sale, but made for a tremendous pinhooking success when hammering to the Chus' Baoma Corp. for $850K at OBSMAR after drilling a quarter-mile in :20 4/5. Thirteen Squared is a product of a pair of top runners for owner Arnold Zetcher. A daughter of his 2011 GI CashCall Futurity winner and freshman sire Liaison, the dark bay is a homebred daughter of MGSW & GISP House of Fortune (Free House) and debuts here for Liaison's trainer Bob Baffert. SPANISH BAY (Tapit&log=">Tapit) is the latest produce of GISW Dubai Escapade (Awesome Again), whose Grade I-winning half-sister Madcap Escapade (Hennessy) is the dam of GI Darley (Del Mar) Debutante winner Mi Sueno (Pulpit). The latter has gone on to become the dam of 'TDN Rising Star' and GSW Mi Suerte (Jpn) (Frankel {GB}). Shane Zain (Medaglia d'Oro&log=">Medaglia d'Oro), a $370K KEESEP graduate, is the first foal from My Gi Gi (E Dubai), winner of the grassy GII Honeymoon S. and runner-up in that year's GI American Oaks. Just a $6,500 KEESEP yearling, My Gi Gi was sold to Don Alberto Corp. carrying this foal in utero for $650K at FTKNOV in 2014. TJCIS PPs
