Gulfstream Park cancelled live racing Thursday and Friday due to a series of storms that trained over the area Wednesday--resulting in record rainfall throughout the area along with flooded roads. More rain is expected in the area on the cancelled days. Racing is scheduled to resume Saturday with a first post of 12:40 pm.

Due to forecasted high winds and heavy rain in the Bay Area on Friday, Golden Gate Fields will  move the Friday, March 10 live race card to Thursday, March 9. Eight races are on the program for the now-Thursday card with first post time remaining at 12:45 PM.

Monmouth-At-Meadowlands Cancels Saturday Card

Due to a forecast calling for heavy rain, live racing has been cancelled for Saturday, Oct. 1, for the all-turf Monmouth-at-Meadowlands meet, the track announced on Friday. The six races scheduled for Saturday will be extras when entries are taken Tuesday, Oct. 4, for the Friday, Oct. 7, card. The five remaining all-turf cards following tonight's program will take place Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 22 with the exception of Saturday, Oct. 15, when Far Hills will feature its 101st steeplechase meet.

Kentucky Downs Forced To Abandon Card

The Sunday program at Kentucky Downs, which was set to feature the GIII AGS Ladies' Marathon S., was called off following the day's second race owing to deteriorating weather conditions. According to a tweet from officials, the final nine races from Sunday will be contested Tuesday, Sept. 13, with first post at 12:25 p.m. CT. Heat Forces Woodbine Cancellation

Edited Press Release Due to extreme heat in the weather forecast, Woodbine Entertainment announced that it is cancelling Sunday's racing program at Woodbine Racetrack for equine welfare and the safety of all racing participants. The Georgian Bay S. and Lake Huron S. will be rescheduled for next Friday, Aug. 12 with a post time of 1 p.m. ET. The 2022 Thoroughbred meet at Woodbine Racetrack will continue Thursday, Aug. 11 with a new a post-time of 4:50 p.m. ET.

Weather Causes Early End To Laurel's Friday Program

After pushing back their usual 12:40 p.m. post time to 1:50 p.m. due to heat, a severe thunderstorm forced the Maryland Jockey Club to cancel Laurel Park's live Friday program following the seventh race, with just two races remaining on the card. Rain Forces Pimlico to Cancel Friday Card

With persistent heavy rain falling and more in the forecast throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, Friday's live program at Pimlico was canceled after the second race. According to the National Weather Service, up to an inch of rain had fallen in the Baltimore area with another inch expected. The NWS also issued flood warnings for Central Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
