The catalogue includes nine no-guarantee stallion seasons for 2022, as well as eight broodmares from Ron Lombardi's Mr Amore Stable and two Maryland-bred juveniles from Anchor & Hope Farm. Wanamaker's has released its January Sale catalog, comprised of 33 hips, including 12 no-guarantee stallion seasons for 2022. Highlights of the catalog include a three-horse offering of broodmares from McMahon Thoroughbreds of Saratoga, led by Credit Analyst, an unraced 4-year-old daughter of Central Banker currently in-foal to Goldencents. The New York Thoroughbred Breeders (NYTB), in partnership with Wanamaker's, has opened its annual stallion season auction. A total of 49 stallion seasons are available, ranging from Kentucky sires Candy Ride (Arg), Union Rags, and Honor Code to New York stallions War Dancer, Mission Impazible, and Honest Mischief. The seasons are no guarantee and non-refundable. A percentage of proceeds from seasons sold for stallions standing in Kentucky will be donated to the Foundation of Appalachian Kentucky for those impacted by recent tornadoes in the region. Wanamaker's, the online Thoroughbred auction site, will host the first-ever Pennsylvania Horse Breeders Association online auction Oct. 28. The sale will be open to Pennsylvania-bred weanlings, yearlings, and racehorses as well as broodmares and broodmare prospects owned by PHBA members. Fiya (Friesan Fire), who fetched $400,000 during the 2020 Wanamaker's July Sale before going on to become a stakes winner, was euthanized Saturday after suffering a catastophic injury to his right hind leg.
