Woolford Named Head Of Donor Engagement At The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation has appointed Meredith Woolford as the organization's new Director of Donor Engagement, the non-profit said in a release late Friday. She will spearhead initiatives to cultivate and expand relationships with donors and further TRF's mission to provide a lifetime sanctuary for retired racehorses. TERF Makes TRF Donation

The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation has awarded the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation $10,000 to be earmarked for educational purposes. TRF collaborates with correctional facilities in eight states to provide vocational training to inmates who care for horses that are not suitable for second athletic careers. TRF will use the TERF donation to implement the Second Chances Farm Groom Elite (SCGE) Vocational program at all TRF Second Chance Programs to provide standardized level of education at each facility, educate inmates on proper care of Thoroughbreds, and create higher skilled individuals who...

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) will host a re-imagined "TRF BBQ at the Barn" summer fundraiser on Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Saratoga Winery.
