Cheltenham February Sale Moved To Newmarket

Following on from positive feedback from the Cheltenham December Sale at Park Paddocks, the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale will take place at the sales firm's headquarters in Newmarket on Feb. 19. Tattersalls also moved to provide clarity on the Cheltenham Festival Sale, revealing contingency plans to hold it in the week preceding its original date of Mar. 18 if it is unable to take place at the Festival. This remains subject to change due to Covid 19 and Brexit complications.

Tattersalls and Goffs have released further changes to the schedule of point-to-point sales in December. The Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale, which originally had been scheduled to follow the end of the Tattersalls December Mares' Sale on Thursday, Dec. 3, will now be staged at Park Paddocks in Newmarket a week later on Thursday, Dec. 10. Ginto (Fr) (Walk in the Park {Ire}) (lot 5) set a new record for a horse sold at Fairyhouse when bringing €470,000 to top the Tattersalls Cheltenham November (Ireland) Sale on Friday. Tattersalls Cheltenham Autumn Fixtures Changed

Tattersalls Cheltenham will not be hosting the rest of its 2020 sales fixtures at Cheltenham Racecourse due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the Cheltenham November Sale will take place at Fairyhouse in Ireland on Nov. 12.
