Pensioned Hill 'n' Dale Stallion Stormy Atlantic Dies At 32

Stormy Atlantic (Storm Cat--Hail Atlantis, by Seattle Slew) has passed away from the infirmities of old age at 32. Retired from the track with 15 starts, six wins and earnings of over $148,000, Stormy Atlantic initially stood stud in Florida at Bridlewood Farm in 1999 where he would become Florida's champion freshman sire. His success in Florida ultimately gave him a chance in Kentucky and Stormy Atlantic joined the roster at John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale in 2003 where he stood until pensioned at the age of 27 in 2021....

MGSW Leinster Represented By First Foal

Leinster (Majestic Warrior), a multiple graded-stakes winning half-brother to MGISW Stormy Liberal (Stormy Atlantic) and third in the 2020 GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, was represented by his first foal, a filly, Thurs. Jan. 5 at Pleasant Acres Stallions. "Leinster was a great addition to the stallion barn at Pleasant Acres Stallions," said breeder Helen Barbazon. "It's very exciting to see him produce such an exceptional filly in his first crop. We look forward to following this beautiful foal's career." Leinster will stand the 2023 season for $5,000.

Bolt d'Oro's First Foal a Filly

Bolt d'Oro (Medaglia d'Oro--Globe Trot, by A.P. Indy) was represented by his first reported foal Friday, Jan. 10, when a filly from Moment of Speight (Ire) (Speightstown) was born at Forever Spring Farm in Kentucky.
