Last week, I attended the Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA) national conference at the Falls Creek Conference Center in Davis, Oklahoma. There were more than 100 participants including track chaplains, local council leaders, national board and staff. Race Track Chaplaincy Of America Hosts Annual Golf Tournament Apr. 16

The Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA) will host its 9th Annual Golf Scramble Tuesday, Apr. 16 at University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky with all proceeds going to support the network of chaplaincies, the non-profit said in a Friday release. Delcid Wins White Horse Award

RTCA honored Nery Delcid with their White Horse Award at a ceremony Tuesday evening for bravely preventing a fire from spreading at Churchill Downs. The fire in one of the stalls was set by someone in the barn during the night and Delcid acted quickly by calling 911, dousing the flames and calling security. He alerted the workers who were sleeping in the barn and together they helped control the fire. Thanks to his quick actions, there was no significant damage, and no human or horse was injured. Nominations Open for RTCA White Horse Award

The Race Track Chaplaincy of America is now accepting nominations for the 2022 RTCA White Horse Award which will be presented to an individual or individuals of any age who performed a heroic act on behalf of human or horse within the past 12 months. Last year's winner was Marshal Allen from Emerald Downs. The deadline to submit nominations is Wednesday, Aug. 24. The form can be found here on the official Race Track Chaplaincy website.

The Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA) is seeking nominees for its 19th Annual White Horse Award (WHA), which honor the selfless servants and unsung heroes of Thoroughbred racing.
