With a forecast calling for significant rainfall, officials at Santa Anita Park have canceled Monday's Presidents' Day program at the track. The nine-race program on Sunday will proceed as scheduled, with a first post at 12:30 p.m. PT. A combination of snow, rain and freezing temperatures over the course of the weekend prompted officials at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to cancel Sunday's live racing program after the opening race of the afternoon. (NYRA) has canceled Friday's live racing program at Aqueduct Racetrack due to significant rainfall forecast to create hazardous weather conditions in the New York metropolitan area, according to a press release issued Friday morning. With as much as five inches of rain expected, Ozone Park is under a flash flood warning and flood watch throughout the day on Friday. Santa Anita's main track was closed Thursday morning and the training track was limited to only joggers following yet another rainstorm that hit the area this week. Track officials said just over an inch of rain fell on Santa Anita during this latest series of storms, which began Tuesday. Due to forecasted high winds and heavy rain in the Bay Area on Friday, Golden Gate Fields will  move the Friday, March 10 live race card to Thursday, March 9. Eight races are on the program for the now-Thursday card with first post time remaining at 12:45 PM.

Due to a forecast calling for heavy rain, live racing has been cancelled for Saturday, Oct. 1, for the all-turf Monmouth-at-Meadowlands meet, the track announced on Friday. The six races scheduled for Saturday will be extras when entries are taken Tuesday, Oct. 4, for the Friday, Oct. 7, card. The five remaining all-turf cards following tonight's program will take place Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 22 with the exception of Saturday, Oct. 15, when Far Hills will feature its 101st steeplechase meet.

With Friday's weather forecast calling for a 90% chance of rain in Arcadia, Santa Anita Park, in consultation with the Thoroughbred Owners of California and the CHRB, will shift Friday's eight-race program to Monday, Mar. 7 with first post time at 12:30 p.m. Accordingly, there will be no re-draw, with Monday's program now scheduled as an exact replica of what had been planned for Friday.

Rainy conditions caused by Winter Storm Landon forced the cancellation of the live racing card at Laurel Park Friday afternoon following the third race. The first three races on the program were run over a sloppy and sealed main track. With persistent heavy rain falling and more in the forecast throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, Friday's live program at Pimlico was canceled after the second race. According to the National Weather Service, up to an inch of rain had fallen in the Baltimore area with another inch expected. The NWS also issued flood warnings for Central Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
