With strong rains predicted to hit Southern California over the next several days, Santa Anita Park has made the decision to cancel its Friday card.  Friday's entries were originally scheduled to close this past Sunday, but track management opted to wait until Tuesday in order to better evaluate the weather forecast. Aqueduct and Laurel both canceled their race cards Thursday after a winter storm hit the east coast Wednesday evening and continued into Thursday morning with rain, snow and heavy winds. In New York snow totals of 9 to 12 inches were expected with wind gusts reaching 50mph. There was also a coastal flooding warning for Queens. Racing will resume at Aqueduct Friday with first post at 12:20 p.m. Living racing also resumes in Maryland Friday with first post at 12:25 p.m.

Monmouth Cancels Friday Card Due to Storm

Due to heavy rain and high winds that hit the Jersey Shore all day Friday, Monmouth Park canceled its six-race program slated to commence at 5p.m. Live racing resumes at Monmouth Park July 11 with a first post of 12:50 p.m. for the 12-race card.
