With three weeks remaining in the 2021 horse racing season at Arapahoe Park, racetrack management increased all overnight purses by 2,000. The Pennsylvania-bred stakes schedule received a major boost for the remainder of the year, with four stakes doubling in value to $200,000, plus the addition of two $100,000 stakes. A 15% across-the-board increase for overnight purses in Maryland has been instituted for the rest of 2021 after a Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (MTHA) Board of Directors meeting June 29.
