Louisiana To Divide Yearling And Mixed Sale During The Fall

Breeders Sales of Louisiana will hold its annual Preferred Yearling Sale on Tuesday, Sept. 1 and offer a separate mixed sale on Sunday, Oct. 11, which is a change in the format, the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association said via a release on Tuesday. The move to Sept. 1 puts that sale among the first yearling auctions of the season. Sams To Speak At LACER Stallion Show In Louisiana Jan. 9

Aurelius Maximus Colt Leads Texas Yearling Sale As Topper

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX - With a winning virtual bid of $95,000 a Louisiana-bred colt by Red River Farms sire Aurelius Maximus topped the Texas Thoroughbred Association's (TTA) single-session Summer Yearling Sale at Lone Star Park's Mary Ruyle Thoroughbred Pavilion on Tuesday, Aug. 26. GRAND PRAIRIE, TX - The annual single session Texas Yearling Sale put on by the Texas Thoroughbred Association (TTA) and hosted by Dallas-area Lone Star Park is set for 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Aug. 26. Fair Grounds Announces 12 New LA-Bred Stakes, Earlier Start for 2022-23 Meet

A total of 65 stakes worth a combined $8.5 million, up more than $700,000 from last season, will be offered during Fair Grounds's 80-day, 2022-23 Thoroughbred meet, Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots announced Tuesday.
