A New Look to the Keeneland April Sale: Q and A with Tony Lacy

Keeneland recently announced that its April Horses of Racing Age Sale will take place on closing day of its spring meet, April 29, at the conclusion of the day's racing. Not to be confused with their prior April two-year-olds-in-training sale, there will be no breeze show, and breeding stock and stallion shares will also be accepted. Keeneland Auctioneer Cris Caldwell Passes Away at 63

Cris Caldwell, who continued the legacy of his late father Tom Caldwell as an integral part of the Keeneland auctioneering team, passed away Friday, May 15. He was 63 years old and was a member of the Keeneland family from 1975-2020. Tom Caldwell passed away in 2001 and like his father, Cris Caldwell succumbed to pancreatic cancer, according to an obituary sent by his family.
