ITBF Conference Kicks Off June 6

The International Thoroughbred Breeders' Federation bi-annual Conference, hosted by the ITBF and the British Thoroughbred Breeders' Association, will take place at Newmarket June 6-10. Last held in Lexington in 2018, the conference, which was slated to be held in Paris in 2020, was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Around 70 delegates from 23 countries across six continents are expected to attend. ITBF Meeting Cancelled Due to COVID-19

The International Thoroughbred Breeders' Federation General Meeting, originally slated for June 12-14 in Paris, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, the organization announced on Monday morning. Replacement dates are currently being worked on by the ITBF Executive Committee, with the corresponding June dates in 2021 the most likely replacement dates. ITBF member countries are encouraged to send updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is affecting breeding operations in their respective countries.
