'22 Dates Set for Indiana Grand

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission (IHRC) approved racing dates for the 2022 racing season at Indiana Grand Monday. A total of 127 racing days-including 12 Saturdays--are set for the Shelbeyville oval's 2022 season. Racing runs through Tuesday, Apr. 19, concluding Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022. Indiana Grand Adds to '21 Season

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission (IHRC) approved Thursday Indiana Grand Racing & Casino's request for four additional racing days for the 2021 season. The track, which will now offer 123 days of live racing in 2021, will run Monday, Oct. 11 (Columbus Day) and continue through Nov. 11. The previous closing day was set for Monday, Nov. 8. Peterson Joins IHRC As Equine Medical Director

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission has hired Kerry Peterson, D.V.M as their Equine Medical Director. Dr. Peterson has over 15 years of experience with equine and small animal private practice and regulatory veterinary medicine and most recently served as the Medical Director and Veterinarian of Pet Wellness Clinics, which has nine locations in central Indiana. In addition, her past regulatory experience includes Director of Animal Health Programs for the Indiana State Board of Animal Health. Indiana Racing Commission Approves Transfer in Ownership of Tracks

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission (IHRC) approved the transfer in ownership of Caesar's Entertainment Corporation and its direct and indirect subsidiaries to Eldorado Resorts Inc. during a meeting at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville July 13.
