NYRA Cards Additional Race Day On Nov. 12

The New York Racing Association will card one additional day of live racing to be held Wednesday, November 12 as part of the fall meet at Aqueduct Racetrack, the track announced Tuesday. Following the cancellation of live racing on both Thursday, Oct. 30 and Friday, Oct. 31, NYRA, the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (NYTHA) and New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc. NYSGC Provides Forte Timeline

In response to comments from Forte's connections on a conference call last Thursday, May 11 accusing the New York State Gaming Commission of unprofessional handling of the Forte meloxicam overage in the Sept. 5, 2022 Hopeful Stakes, the commission's spokesman, Brad Maione, has issued a timeline of the eight months between the positive test and the stewards' hearing to discuss the results.
