2021 Furlong Factor Open For Entries

Racing Welfare in conjunction with Great British Racing (GBR), the Tote and Sky Sports Racing, have launched the 2021 edition of the pop idol competition, Furlong Factor. Introduced last season, the competition is free to enter and first prize is £1,500 in cash and a trophy from Inkerman London. Lara Telfer Crowned Furlong Factor Champion

Lara Telfer earned the top prize of £1,500 and an all-expenses-paid trip to the G1 Qatar Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe, courtesy of Racing Breaks, concluding Racing Welfare's singing competition, the Furlong Factor. Raising Funds Through Racing's Search For A Star

Lara Telfer Wins Heat 1 of the Furlong Factor

Lara Telfer, Regional Marketing Manager for the Jockey Club's South West region, won the first heat of Racing Welfare's Furlong Factor with her rendition of Birdy's son, Wings. Competing against three other singers, Telfer now advances toward the Furlong Factor Final, which will be broadcasted on Sky Sports Racing on Saturday, May 9th. Heat two begins at 8 p.m. local time on Racing Welfare's Twitter page on Thursday evening and heats will continue every night until May 4th.
