BHA Releases 2021 Fixtures

The British Horseracing Authority has released its full fixture list for 2021, with 1,486 total fixtures-897 flat and 589 jumps-- scheduled and with prizemoney minimums across all races set to return to pre-Covid levels with the Horserace Betting and Levy Board continuing its higher than usual contribution to prizemoney. BHA Announces Fixture Tweaks

There have been several changes made to upcoming races in the UK and the overall race programme, the British Horseracing Authority announced on Monday. The September to December Fixture List is still under discussion with more updates expected later in the week. As of now, the changes are: Beginning in August, field sizes for Jump races can revert to the maximum limit imposed by the racecourse. Deutscher Gallop Releases German Fixture List Through August

The updated German fixture list, which has been modified due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was released by Deutscher Gallop on Tuesday. Previously, the racing calendar for Germany had been outlined through only June 15, as the nation begins to leave lockdown. The current safety precautions, which include racing without spectators, regional clustering and one event per calendar day, will also still apply. British Racing to Return No Earlier Than June 1

The British government released its timeline for the potential resumption of sporting events on Monday, and in its Our Plan to Rebuild, cultural and sporting events conducted behind closed doors-like racing-are part of the second step of lifting the current coronavirus restrictions and would resume no earlier than June 1.
