Thoroughbred Charities of America will host Bash at the Breeders' Cup on Friday, Nov. 5 at the Hilton in Del Mar. TCA Awards Annual Grants

Grants totaling over $788,000 were awarded this year, Thoroughbred Charities of America announced Wednesday. Eighty two grant applications were received earlier this year during the organization's annual grant cycle. Ultimately, 69 organizations were approved for a grant, including 46 aftercare organizations, 14 backstretch and farm worker programs, five equine-assisted therapy organizations, three Thoroughbred incentive programs, and one research organization. TCA To Host 'Bid on the Bluegrass' Auction

The Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) will conduct an online auction called 'Bid on the Bluegrass,' featuring unique, Kentucky Derby-themed items and experiences associated with several of the participants in the 2021 GI Kentucky Derby. The 31st annual Thoroughbred Charities of America Stallion Season Auction, the largest for the organization, is open for bidding. Dorrian and Crady Honored with RTCA White Horse Awards

The Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA) has named this year's White Horse Award winners, which honor heroism on behalf of human or horse. Honored this year are Victoria Don Dorrian, winner of the White Horse Award, and Erin Crady, winner of the Community Service Award. Dorrian earned her moment of heroism in September, 2019, when a loose horse at Prairie Meadows escaped from the track and ended up on interstate 80, running toward oncoming traffic.
