Stallions To Parade At Irish National Stud Next Week

The 2024 seven-strong stallion roster at the Irish National Stud will parade daily while the Goffs February Sale is going on, the INS announced on Saturday. Parades, featuring stallions like Group 1 sire Invincible Spirit (Ire), Phoenix Of Spain (Ire) who has his first 3-year-olds this year, and Classic winner Mac Swiney (Ire), will take place at the stud on Feb. 6-8 from 11-3 p.m. each day. G2 Coventry S. runner-up Eldrickjones (Ire) (Cotai Glory {Ire}) has been added to the Tattersalls Online August Sale on Aug. 17. Trained by Roger Fell, the colt sells with an entry in the G2 Gimcrack S. at York on Aug. 20 and in the G2 Champagne S. at Doncaster in September. Equilateral to Remain in Dubai

Trainer Charlie Hills was very pleased with the recent performance of G1SP Equilateral (GB) (Equiano {Fr}) in the Listed Dubai Dash last Thursday, and the 6-year-old gelding will remain in Dubai for another tilt at the G2 Meydan Sprint on Feb. 18. Equiano (Fr) (Acclamation {GB}), who is new to the Irish National Stud, will have breeding right options available for breeders, the County Kildare stud announced on Monday. Already the sire of Group 1 winners Equilateral (GB) and Belvoir Bay (GB), the 15-year-old is the sire of 29 stakes horses and will stand for €3,000 in 2021.
