Racing Home Website Launched

'Racing Home', an online platform for educating and empowering racing's employers, employees and the self-employed, was launched by Women in Racing with support from the Racing Foundation, Kindred Group and the latter's flagship brand Unibet on Wednesday. The website focuses on motherhood/parenthood and providing easy access to information about rights and entitlements regarding pregnancy, maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave, flexible working, self-employment and statutory pay. Additional H-2B Visas for Fiscal Year 2022

Edited press release The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) have agreed to offer 20,000 additional H-2B visas to employers for positions starting on or before Mar. 31. These visas are used by employers, such as racehorse trainers, who seek seasonal guest workers. HRI Industry Education and Training Survey Results Announced

The education and training survey results, which 699 people participated in from Nov. 4-Dec. 16, 2019, were announced by Horse Racing Ireland on Tuesday. The main challenges of all survey participants-147 employers, 482 employees and 47 students-were financial and getting time off for additional training. Other issues for employees are work hours and low income, while for employers, set-up costs and staff shortages were problems.
