Five-Win Day for Zayas

Leading jockey Edgard Zayas rode five winners on the nine-race program at Gulfstream Park Sunday. Zayas opened Sunday's card at the Hallandale oval with a win aboard Murabeh and he went on to visit the winner's circle following subsequent victories aboard Basilea in the fifth race, Nate the Great in the seventh and Saratoga Flash in the eighth. Saffie Joseph, Jr. collected his 10th Gulfstream Park training title in a row, while Edgard Zayas regained the top spot in the jockey standings when the Royal Palm Meet concluded Sunday. Joseph broke his own Royal Palm Meet record with 93 victories, eclipsing the 71 winners he sent out during the 2021 stand.
