Pointers Lead Goffs UK Autumn Sale

Point-to-pointers proved popular during the one-day Goffs UK Autumn Sale on Thursday, with trade topped by Music Drive (Fr) (Muhtathir {GB}) (lot 129). Offered by Colin Bowe's Milestone Stables, the 4-year-old Music Drive won a point-to-point at Monksgrange on Sept. 26, and was picked up by Aidan O'Ryan and Gordon Elliott for £90,000. At the close of trade, 113 horses sold (66%) from 170 offered for an aggregate of £1,014,800 that was up 29% on last year. Network Gelding Tops Land Rover Day One

Storm Of Light (Fr) (lot 255), a gelded 3-year-old son of Network (Ger), was one of six store horses to reach six figures during the opening session of the Goffs Land Rover Sale on Wednesday, and he topped trade when fetching €185,000 from Aidan O'Ryan and Gordon Elliott. Grand Finale To Summer Sale

The third and final session of Goffs UK's Summer Sale on Wednesday provided the sale's highlight when The Million In Mind Partnership's unbeaten hurdler Grand Roi (Fr) (Spanish Moon) (lot 318) fetched £400,000 from Aidan O'Ryan and trainer Gordon Elliott. The pricetag is the second-highest ever achieved from the annual Million In Mind reduction. Hasanabad Tops August Sale

Hasanabad (Ire) (Nathaniel {Ire}) posted a timely win at Galway last week, and that enough to propel the 4-year-old to the top of trade on Wednesday at the Goffs UK August Sale at Doncaster. Consigned by The Aga Khan Studs, Hasanabad (lot 196) was bought by agent Richard Ryan for £230,000.
