Medina Spirit (Protonico) was supplemented, at a cost of $1,000, to Sunday's Shared Belief S., a one-mile event for 3-year-olds on the Del Mar main track. Essential Quality to Bypass Preakness; Belmont Possible

Trainer Brad Cox told Steve Byk on At the Races Tuesday morning that champion Essential Quality (Tapit), fourth in the GI Kentucky Derby as the 29-10 favorite, will skip the GI Preakness S. May 15. First Mares in foal to Authentic, Vekoma

Spendthrift Farm's Horse of the Year and Champion sophomore Authentic (Into Mischief) and Eclipse finalist Vekoma (Candy Ride {Arg}) have had their first mares confirmed in foal. The winner of last season's GI Kentucky Derby and GI Breeders' Cup Classic stands his initial season for $75,000 S&N, while dual Grade I-winning Vekoma is standing for a fee of $20,000 S&N in 2021.
