The Pegasus 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, on hiatus since 2012, will return as a mixed sale in 2017, it was announced Friday. The auction will take place Tuesday, Mar. 21 at Dr. Mark Dedomenico's Pegasus Training and Rehabilitation Center in Redmond, Washington. A training preview will be held Saturday, Mar. 19. The sale will also feature a horses of racing age segment. Previous Pegasus Sale graduates include MGISW Belle Gallantey (After Market), GII Bayakoa S. heroine Broken Sword (Broken Vow) and GI Hollywood Starlet S. runner-up Blonde Fog (Divine Park). Videos and photos of the entrants will be available online in the weeks leading up to the sale.
The deadline to apply to the 2-year-olds in training portion of the sale is Nov. 10 with horses due on the grounds by Nov. 15 to be broke and trained up to the sale by Pegasus. The deadline for applicants to enter the horses of racing age portion of the sale is Dec. 15 with horses due on the grounds by Jan. 1 to be trained by Pegasus up to the sale.
